About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space, and Security organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead requirements, verification, and integration efforts for next-generation air-refueling applications in the Puget Sound area. The role supports major development programs and is based 100% onsite in Tukwila, Washington. The engineer will contribute to the integration, test, and operation of the KC-46A Pegasus, working with multidisciplinary teams across systems including aerial refueling, avionics, flight controls, communications, and mission systems. The position combines systems engineering, airplane systems knowledge, and hands-on integration and test operations. It includes leading airplane- and system-level hardware and software integration; developing, managing, validating, and verifying requirements; preparing operational concepts and documentation; planning and executing ground and flight testing; and supporting troubleshooting, design reviews, safety reviews, and certification activities. The role also involves model-based systems engineering practices, participation in lab, ground, and flight test operations, and cross-functional technical leadership. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance after starting. The position is union-represented and offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. The role is not contingent on a program award and is not designated safety sensitive.
