About The Position
ALTEN Technology USA is an engineering company that supports clients across aerospace, medical devices, robotics, automotive, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, rail, and other industries. The Product Engineer—Requirements & Verification role is onsite in Carson, California, and supports aerospace product requirements, verification, design, testing, and production activities. The engineer works with internal teams, suppliers, and OEMs to help complete projects and ensure designs meet airworthiness standards, customer requirements, and internal standards.
Responsibilities
- Review aerospace product requirements mapping, methods of compliance, and requirement verification plans.
- Provide technical input for technical analyses.
- Provide design requirements and inputs to the mechanical and electrical Product Design teams.
- Support the Verification unit with hardware test setup procurement, build, and maintenance.
- Support verification procedure writing, verification testing, and troubleshooting.
- Create technical and project documentation.
- Support production builds by investigating inspection reports and root-cause corrective actions.
- Apply sound engineering principles to ensure designs meet airworthiness standards, customer requirements, and internal standards.
- Assess and support improvement projects.
- Interface with various groups to bring projects to completion.
- Interface with existing suppliers and OEMs.
