About The Position

Lentech, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases. This role involves interacting with the Government on technical considerations and leading design and development activities. The engineer will guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. Responsibilities include developing technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation, as well as guiding system development and implementation planning. Requirements

  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP
  • 10 years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Scrum Coach-Scrum Certification
  • Experience in Collaborating w/Product Owner in preparation for SAFe/agile ceremonies, including sprint reviews, Inspect and Adapt, and Program Increment (PI) planning events
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
  • PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
