The Summer Games is a competitive, collaborative internship program designed to help students develop a breakthrough idea or solution to a complex customer problem while building technical skills. Interns work in teams on challenge projects in a startup-accelerator-style environment, receive mentorship from senior leaders, use Booz Allen products and engagement models, and collaborate to solve problems. The program culminates in a Challenge Cup competition and presentation to senior leadership. Past projects have included technology and business plans for helping blind individuals navigate, an app for military commanders to track real-time and open-source information, efforts to fight human trafficking, and tools to track disease spread worldwide. This Systems Engineer Intern position is part of Booz Allen’s 2027 Summer Games program in Lexington, Massachusetts. Applicants must be scheduled to earn a bachelor's degree in a Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field by Summer 2028 or Summer 2029 and be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The projected annualized compensation range is $52,900 to $108,000. Booz Allen describes its benefits as including health, life, disability, financial and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Eligibility for benefit programs depends in part on an employee’s regular weekly hours.
