About The Position

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer (Combat) - Early Career. In this role, you will design, integrate, and test Command, Control and Communications (C3) systems. C3 systems perform multiple critical functions such as radar and sensor management, track filtering, track management including correlation/association, control of multiple communication links, threat evaluation and prioritization, and command of weapon systems for target engagement or assignment. The successful candidate will have a familiarity in the usage and application of Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar programming language. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable STEM discipline.
  • Foundation in systems‑engineering principles such as requirements allocation, traceability, and authoring; system design and algorithm development; test‑data analysis; and system integration and verification.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or comparable scripting languages for analysis, modeling, and automation.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with model-based systems engineering. (activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.)
  • Knowledge of algorithm development, data analysis, and system test.
  • Experience with formal requirements verification, test procedure and test script development, and root cause analysis and resolution of defects.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Git.
  • Experience with system integration and testing, and interfacing with software teams to communicate designs and troubleshoot issues.
  • Familiarity with UNIX and/or Linux based OS.
