DESCRIPTION APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Own and lead the architecture, design and implementation of calibration of the entire test line for one or multiple Apple products and technologies such as MacBook, iMac, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Audio, Smart Keyboards, Apple Pencil, Apple TV, Watch Chargers and various iOS Accessories - starting from pre-concept through mass production. Develop instruments and algorithms, fixtures, infrastructure and diagnostic software to implement calibration and testing processes at the factory for all products across Apple. Define tests for functionalities and performance early in the product development lifecycle while working closely with the development teams. Specify test stations and diagnostics for testing product features. Work on calibration, testing and processes for Apple products. Serve as the key liaison between the organization and Contract Manufacturers. Ensure that tests are being performed adequately and on time while interacting within internal groups at Apple. Document tests and develop project plans. Specify and implement test process control and test data collection. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,555 - $213,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Industrial, Systems Engineering or Computer/Data Science or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience and/or education must include: Using data analysis, statistical and modeling tools including JMP and Python to inform design decisions during hardware development phases Using engineering communication skills and tools including Confluence, Keynote and Quip to convey technical issues to leadership Applying production control processes in manufacturing factories to mitigate build flow failures and cheating, including on-device programmable keys and network-based monitoring Managing contract manufacturer engineering teams for design validation Utilizing and applying system architectures for consumer electronics to design figures of merit in data collection to protect the integrity of hardware/software Applying firmware and software interactions for the purposes of stress testing hardware in a manufacturing environment Applying bill of materials management in systems including Agile to handle global distribution of test instrumentation at manufacturing sites
