Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring MTS Systems Design Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Design a complete and complex framework, system or product. Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses. Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products. Multiple openings. Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered, data analyst, or engineering role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, data analyst, or engineering role.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Data analytics, visualizations, and report generation (PowerBI, ThoughtSpot, and JMP).
  • Two (2) years of experience in Python, C, or C++.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Extracting data using SQL and APIs from warehouses in Postgres, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Developing, monitoring, and debugging pipelines for batch, microbatch, real-time, and streaming products.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Mining data (including time-series).
  • Two (2) years of experience in ETL Pipelines.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Git.
