Systems Analyst (Technology)
About The Position
The Systems Analyst analyzes documented business requirements and translates them into technical requirements and system specifications. The role develops specifications, diagrams, flowcharts, and non-functional requirements for programmers, and presents design considerations to software architects and developers. It also troubleshoots system issues by reviewing logs, debugging code, identifying workarounds, and working with developers to resolve issues. The position primarily supports the CWOW program, a strategic initiative to develop a new patient-centric clinical application for DaVita Kidney Care.
Responsibilities
- Develop specifications, diagrams, flowcharts, and non-functional requirements for an assigned functional domain; use sampling, model building, and data analysis to assess whether solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and financially feasible.
- Present design considerations to software architects and developers who translate requirements into code.
- Analyze documented business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and system specifications; identify and investigate potential gaps or issues and recommend changes.
- Troubleshoot system issues, review logs, debug code, identify workarounds, work with developers to fix issues, and perform demonstrations.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor system health, and gather system statistics.
- Develop a deep understanding of how assigned functional domains integrate and interact with one another and with other systems.
- Collaborate with Senior Systems Analysts, architects, and Tech Leads to drive solutions for assigned tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
