About The Position

Amyx is seeking to hire a Systems Administrator for our Defense Logistics Agency client, remotely. This role ensures the stable operation of in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. The position involves organizing and directing the configuration and operation of information management systems, analyzing and resolving end-user software program and connectivity issues, and conducting capacity and performance analysis. The Systems Administrator will also provide recommendations for system configuration changes and upgrades, increase efficiency through automation, develop procedures, and conduct training. Additionally, this role provides end-user training, technology direction recommendations, and local/remote maintenance support for various operational systems across multiple locations, including general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. The role also directs the work of other system administrators, provides day-to-day system administration, and applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing and fault tolerance. Performing vulnerability management and communicating accurate information are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of specialized experience.
Specialized experience is defined as progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, where the majority are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, at least four years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
Must possess IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5) at time of proposal submission

Have experience managing Design and Operational technical teams that support enterprise Oracle Fusion Middleware platform with over 300,000 users in production environments.

Responsibilities

Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections.
Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes all network software and communication links.
Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues.
Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
Provides end user training.
Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
Provides local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications.
Directs the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
Performs vulnerability management.
Must have the ability to communicate accurate information.
