About The Position

The Systems Administrator, Technology Operations, plays a critical role in managing and supporting IT infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring 24/7 L2 Support for Walmart & Sams around the globe for batch schedulers that run on the mainframe and open systems. This role requires the ability to multitask and support customers through various communication channels such as phone calls, Zoom, Slack, or Teams. The position also involves working holidays and weekends to provide support and resolve issues.

Requirements

Ability to multitask by using many different communications channels.
Knowledge of JCL (job control language).
Ability to type and take phone calls.
Soft skills - positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

Mainframe experience is helpful but not required.
Call Center experience.
Information Technology background.
Knowledge of Programming Language - HyperText Markup Language (HTML).
Research Analytics experience.
Experience using intermediate to advanced functionality of Microsoft Excel (for example, pivot tables and basic macros).
Experience using SAP and Ariba to access and review contracts.
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
Knowledge of assistive technologies.
Experience integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
Knowledge of accessibility best practices.
Experience supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

Monitor batch flows and escalate if SLA will be missed.
Restart 70% of the batch jobs while taking phone calls.
Monitor mainframe and open systems where batch jobs run, ensuring systems are stable.
