About The Position

EOA Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS), evaluating systems for IAVA compliance and applying necessary security updates/patches, performing command line system administration tasks on virtual machines, handling regular system backups and periodically testing backups for functionality, and communicating with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.

Requirements

  • Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
  • IAT Level 2 Certification
  • Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
  • Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline OR Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
  • Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
  • Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
  • Syslog/NxLog, Nagios or other similar monitoring applications, Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

Responsibilities
