About The Position

This role focuses on Windows Systems Administration, involving the administration of Windows development, test, and production servers. The position requires advanced troubleshooting skills for complex Windows OS, Active Directory, and server connectivity issues. Daily monitoring of Windows systems, services, and performance is essential, along with proactive remediation. The administrator will be responsible for installing, removing, and upgrading Windows-based software packages and agents, and owning Level 2 Windows-related tickets through resolution, including root cause analysis. The role also involves providing system evaluation reports, contributing to operational recommendations, updating system records, ensuring licensing compliance, and maintaining accurate configuration data for Windows assets. Additionally, the administrator will create runbooks and how-to guides, and train Level 1 analysts on Windows procedures.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination.
  • Strong experience with Windows troubleshooting and server administration.
  • Ability to support 24×7 operations and rotating shifts.
  • U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required.
  • May also hold Linux credentials if permitted.
  • This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. Therefore, to conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

  • Administers Windows development, test, and production servers including reloading, re-imaging, patching, GPO configuration, and OS hardening.
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex Windows OS, Active Directory, and server connectivity issues.
  • Performs daily monitoring of Windows systems, services, and performance; initiates proactive remediation.
  • Installs, removes, and upgrades Windows-based software packages and agents.
  • Owns Level 2 Windows-related tickets through resolution, including root cause analysis.
  • Provides system evaluation reports and contributes to operational recommendations for Windows environments.
  • Updates system records, ensures licensing compliance, and maintains accurate configuration data for Windows assets.
  • Creates runbooks and how-to guides; trains Level 1 analysts on Windows procedures.
