The Systems Administrator will translate business requirements into enterprise computing architectures, designs, and technical solutions, and perform engineering analysis and integration of enterprise service alternatives to support modernization initiatives. A key aspect of this role is interfacing with end users and operations teams to support service delivery and operational needs. The primary specialty for this role is F5 Load Balancing & Application Delivery, where the individual will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM preferred). Responsibilities include designing, configuring, and maintaining application delivery and load balancing solutions, managing virtual servers, pools, nodes, and iRules, SSL offloading and certificate management, and high availability (HA) configurations and failover. The role also involves monitoring and optimizing traffic distribution, application performance, and system availability, as well as troubleshooting complex issues related to load balancing, application delivery, and network traffic flows, and integrating F5 solutions into enterprise architectures and modernization efforts. Additionally, the role encompasses infrastructure operations and troubleshooting across servers (Windows & UNIX/Linux), network systems, storage environments (SAN/NAS), and applications and enterprise services. This includes utilizing system and network tools to diagnose and resolve complex performance and availability issues, conducting root-cause analysis, implementing preventive measures, and improving enterprise system architecture and performance through proactive enhancements. Systems installation, maintenance, and support are also key functions, involving the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, operating systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux), enterprise applications, and patches, supporting both physical and virtual environments, and operating and maintaining backup and recovery systems, including SAN-based solutions. Routine testing, validation, and integration of enterprise production systems are also required. Finally, the role involves systems monitoring and optimization using enterprise tools to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot system issues, monitor system health and performance, and perform routine testing, analysis, and integration of enterprise solutions, with a focus on continuously improving system reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
