About The Position

This role provides technical leadership for enterprise hardware, software, and network operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. The Systems Administrator II will translate business requirements into computing architectures and designs, perform engineering analysis for modernization initiatives, and interface with end users and operations teams for service delivery. A primary specialty in F5 Load Balancing & Application Delivery is required, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM preferred). Responsibilities include designing, configuring, and maintaining application delivery and load balancing solutions, managing virtual servers, pools, nodes, iRules, SSL offloading, certificate management, and high availability configurations. The role also involves monitoring and optimizing traffic distribution, troubleshooting complex issues, and integrating F5 solutions into enterprise architectures. Additionally, the position requires infrastructure operations and troubleshooting across servers, networks, storage, and applications, utilizing system and network tools for diagnosis and root-cause analysis. Systems installation, maintenance, support, and optimization, including servers, operating systems, enterprise applications, backup and recovery systems, and continuous improvement of system reliability, are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise systems or infrastructure engineering
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP administration
  • Strong knowledge of load balancing concepts and application delivery
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, routing)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) and backup systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application delivery issues
  • Security+
  • F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (201)
  • CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and resolve issues across Servers (Windows & UNIX/Linux), Network systems, Storage environments (SAN/NAS), and Applications and enterprise services
  • Utilize system and network tools to diagnose and resolve complex performance and availability issues
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures
  • Improve enterprise system architecture and performance through proactive enhancements
  • Install, configure, and maintain Servers and workstations
  • Install, configure, and maintain Operating systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux)
  • Install, configure, and maintain Enterprise applications and patches
  • Support both physical and virtual environments
  • Operate and maintain backup and recovery systems, including SAN-based solutions
  • Perform routine testing, validation, and integration of enterprise production systems
  • Utilize enterprise tools to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot system issues
