About The Position

The Systems Administrator I provides technical and functional expertise to support and maintain the theater’s core systems and infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing enterprise networking and firewall environments; maintaining a virtualization platform and hybrid Microsoft tenant; and providing technical leadership and support for end users. This role provides proactive support for hardware, software and system issues, as well as troubleshooting across multiple technology disciplines. This position is full-time, exempt and benefits eligible. The typical schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday with after-hours on-call rotation. Requirements

  • Prior experience with progressively greater responsibility in systems, network, or infrastructure administration.
  • Prior hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies: routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN.
  • Prior hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise firewall platforms.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security principles.
  • VMware administration experience and infrastructure performance monitoring.
  • Microsoft Azure and Entra ID administration experience in a hybrid environment.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise server hardware and storage systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Can lift up to 30 lbs. and can sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours/days reflective of the dynamic schedule of a theater.
  • Can participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to provide support for emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless networks, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall platforms and network security appliances.
  • Manage VLANs, routing, network segmentation, security policies, documentation and performance monitoring.
  • Assist in the administration of our VMware environment.
  • Assist in Veeam Backup & Replication environment monitoring and administration.
  • Assist in server hardware, storage systems, and related infrastructure management and support.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
  • Administer hybrid identity infrastructure utilizing Microsoft Entra Connect and Active Directory.
  • Manage user provisioning, authentication, conditional access policies, and identity security.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, mobile device, printer, and application problems.
  • Assist with workstation deployments, software installations, and user onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Work collaboratively with other ITS department members as part of a small, inter-reliant ITS team.
  • Participate in training and departmental meetings as assigned.
