About The Position

CACI is seeking a skilled Systems Administration Design Engineer to join our team and support the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting data and maintaining security across workstations, servers, storage, and networks that support the Satellite Control Network (SCN). You will have the opportunity to influence customer design decisions, plan for long-range sustainment, implement designs, and support operational issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • BS Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Current 8570.01 Certification or ability to obtain within 90 Days of Hire (Security+, CISSP)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration, Microsoft Server 2016 and later
  • Experience with Active Directory, including Group Policy management, IIS, DHCP, and DNS
  • Proficiency in Linux (SUSE, RHEL)
  • Cybersecurity experience in accordance with DISA STIGs
  • Core understanding of IT fundamentals, including knowledge of hardware functions (switches, routers, servers, etc.), database functions, storage, and networking
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter willing to seek knowledge and broaden understanding of areas of responsibility

  • NetApp Storage Systems
  • VMware 6.X, 7.X or 8.X
  • Working knowledge of SolarWinds, LogRhythm, and Trellix
  • Have proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Industry related OS/Product certifications (Windows, RHEL, CISCO)
  • Experience with Engineering V-Model
  • Familiarization with DoD acquisition processes and milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a top technical expert supporting an enterprise technical infrastructure.
  • Analyze system needs, system development, and systems process analysis.
  • Architect new technical solutions, including patch deployment and configuration management for SCN mission systems.
  • Design SCN network changes to support new capabilities and features, including regression testing of existing capabilities.
  • Assist in the development and management of an architecture governance process.
  • Identify, analyze, and rectify operational gaps; develop structured procedures for adopting new technical standards.
  • Develop and document support for implementation of changes to technical standards.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely through voice, written words, and graphics for formal milestone customer briefings.
  • Install and configure systems at customer locations (approximately 25% travel anticipated).
  • Assist in everyday troubleshooting in a lab environment set up to mimic the SCN.
  • Coordinate closely with cybersecurity, networking, software, and test engineering teams.
  • Investigate network device and information security incidents to determine the extent of compromise to national security information and automated information systems.
  • Maintain and submit documentation in accordance with SWMA Procedure.
