About The Position

Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a System Administrator Level 3 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area. This role requires a TS/SCI Clearance with a MD Polygraph. The position involves providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, managing IT system infrastructure, and supporting day-to-day operations including monitoring and problem resolution for various IT devices. The role also includes Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, as well as escalation and communication of status to management and customers. Support for dispatch systems and hardware problems, including involvement in the resolution process, is also a key responsibility. Experience with container technology, administering large software deployments on LINUX/UNIX systems, clustered storage solutions, Kubernetes orchestrated containers, system configuration management software, and change control is essential.

Requirements

A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a MD Polygraph is required.
15 years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience with Container Technology.

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provides Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
Administering large software deployments on LINUX/UNIX systems.
Administering clustered storage solutions (e.g. storage appliances, Ceph).
Administering Kubernetes orchestrated containers.
Administering system configuration management software (e.g. Puppet, Ansible).
Administering change control.
