Configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows and Linux test environments in support of NIWC Atlantic projects. Assisting in the management of project test beds and network devices, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of local test support infrastructure. Developing, updating, and executing system/software test plans, procedures, and test cases aligned with contract requirements, and stakeholder expectations. Maintaining and executing test plans and procedures supporting 30‑day security updates and other required software patches. Performing rigorous system‑level functional, regression, integration, and environmental testing to validate system behavior following updates and configuration changes. Reproducing, documenting, and troubleshooting issues encountered during testing. Working closely with software developers and systems engineers to diagnose root causes, verify fixes, and support timely resolution. Developing and maintaining SME‑level understanding of assigned systems, equipment, and software to support effective test design and execution. Supporting application of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including execution of approved vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., SCAP, Nessus, ACAS) and verification of security patching. Preparing and maintaining test reports, discrepancy reports, and compliance artifacts required for system accreditation and government review. Participating in CM and QA activities in accordance with program and NIWC Atlantic standards. Supporting field testing, on‑site events, and government‑led training/exercise activities, including occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel, while adhering to all safety, security, and contractual requirements. Contributing to continuous process improvement, including enhancements to test methodologies, automation, and metrics.
