System Float Pool Nursing Assistant, Full-Time
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient care across departments and metro locations according to staffing and patient care needs. The role is suitable for applicants interested in entering healthcare, with on-the-job training available, as well as experienced Certified Nursing Assistants seeking a supportive workplace. The position helps improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience. Patient care is provided under the direction and supervision of an RN. This is a full-time night position working three 12.5-hour shifts per week, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. The role floats among Saint Luke’s Plaza, East, North, South, and Smithville locations.
Requirements
- One year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement).
- Mandt/CPI APS training.
- Healthstream training.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
- Assist with activities of daily living and care, including bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipate patient and family needs proactively.
- Individualize and modify care according to each patient’s needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
- Float between departments and locations as needed based on staffing and patient care needs.
