This role involves working as part of a System Validation team to transform legacy, document-based systems engineering processes for Verification and Validation, including Assembly, Instrumentation, and Test planning and design, into a Model-Based systems approach for F135 ECU (Engine Core Upgrade). The PSCV (Product Safety Certification Validation) Model Based System Engineering Test Architect serves directly on a military engine program to build and deliver the Model-Based Test System Model in Cameo System Modeling Language (SysML) that enables digital test planning, design, and execution of the development engine build and test campaigns that fully meets design verification needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering or 3+ years with an Advanced Degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors in Aero, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years engineering experience in aerospace
  • Experience with Verification, Validation, or Testing
  • Experience with Cameo SysML or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Apply the MBSE V&V Test System Model and methodology to the F135 ECU Program to serve as the Authoritative Source of Truth for Validation Planning and System Integration activities.
  • Collaborate with CIPTs and Validation Planners to capture all critical system functions and key inputs/outputs in the Test System Model to enable robust test planning and execution.
  • Provide MBSE system artifacts to enhance communication of issues and status to the program teams, including PSCV/DO, CIPTs, SIPT, and IPMT.
  • Maintain, update, and improve the System Model as more features become available to maximize the benefits of MBSE and the Collaborative Digital Environment as the ECU program progresses into latter phases of engine development.
