About The Position

This role is for a Sys Admin Operations Team Lead responsible for managing teams and projects involving both Linux and Windows OS systems. The position requires extensive experience in Active Directory, Windows Server environments, infrastructure projects, automation, troubleshooting, virtualization, security, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

5-7+ years of experience in a senior Windows administration role.
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
Deep understanding of creating, testing, and deploying complex GPOs.
Proficiency in using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) for patch management, OS deployment, and software distribution.
Advanced PowerShell scripting abilities for automation and system management.
Strong experience in deploying and managing web applications on Internet Information Services (IIS).

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with database administration, specifically MS SQL or MongoDB.
Basic administration skills in Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu).

Responsibilities

Manage teams and projects on Linux and Windows systems.
Perform Active Directory & Group Policy Management, including architecture, DNS, security, and STIG application.
Execute Active Directory migrations and manage DNS STIGs for security and compliance.
Manage and secure Windows Server environments, including IIS configuration and maintenance.
Deploy patches, applications, and OS updates using SCCM.
Lead and execute infrastructure projects, focusing on AD migrations and consolidations.
Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, process streamlining, and reporting.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex system issues, troubleshooting servers, services, and network connectivity.
Administer and optimize server virtualization environments (VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V).
Proactively monitor systems, manage security configurations, and ensure adherence to security policies.
Oversee and validate backup and recovery procedures for data integrity and business continuity.
Perform in-depth analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
