About The Position

The Switchboard Operator / Receptionist answers the hospital switchboard and overhead pages, greets visitors, and directs people to the appropriate departments. The role monitors hospital alarms and requires awareness of the policies and procedures for all hospital emergency codes. The operator must be able to communicate with the population served. This is a per diem, day-shift position at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an office or receptionist role.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous operator experience.
• Customer service experience.
