Switchboard Operator (Per Diem, Varied)

About The Position
The Switchboard Operator receives external and internal calls into the switchboard and directs callers to the appropriate department or person. The role also monitors alarms, cameras, and emergency phones, managing them as appropriate. The operator serves as a resource contact and must be knowledgeable about many aspects of Medical Center operations.
Requirements
- Able to follow instructions and work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate clearly, quickly, and effectively.
- Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for support functions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a hospital PBX setting and/or answering service using a multiline phone system.
Responsibilities
