About The Position
The Frank J. Thornton Aquatic Family YMCA is seeking a part time, experienced swim team coach for our swim team! This part time position starts at $15.00 per hour. This position is responsible for providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team. Focus should be on creating a safe and fun environment. This position serves as the primary coach on deck during team practices and is expected to lead practices 2-4 nights a week.
Requirements
- Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid and YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification
- Ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle)
Nice To Haves
- YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI
- Current O2 certification
- Competitive swimming experience
- Experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders
Responsibilities
