About The Position
The Patrick Henry Family YMCA is seeking a part-time, experienced swim team coach for our swim team. This position is responsible for providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team, with a focus on creating a safe and fun environment. The coach will serve as the primary coach on deck during team practices and is expected to lead practices 2-4 nights a week.
Requirements
- Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid certification.
- YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification.
- Ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle).
Nice To Haves
- YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI certification.
- Current O2 certification.
- Competitive swimming experience.
- Experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders.
