About The Position

The Frank J. Thornton Aquatic Family YMCA is seeking a part time, experienced swim team coach for our swim team! This part time position starts at $15.00 per hour. This position is responsible for providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team. Focus should be on creating a safe and fun environment. This position serves as the primary coach on deck during team practices and is expected to lead practices 2-4 nights a week. Requirements

• Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid certification
• YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification
• Ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle)
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders

Nice To Haves

• YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI certification
• Current O2 certification
• Competitive swimming experience
• Experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week

Responsibilities
