Requirements
- Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
- Previous swim instruction experience is required
- Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lifeguard on duty.
- Responsible for observing and patrolling the pool area, enforcing safety regulations as outlined in American Red Cross Lifeguard standards
- Assist swimmers in and around the pool area as well as swim instructors, as needed
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate incident reports.
- Teach swimming skills in accordance with Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner
- Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
- Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
- Ensure swimmer safety
