About The Position
Emler Swim and Gymnastic Schools is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The instructor teaches children ages 6 months to 12 years in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment, helping them develop swimming and water-safety skills. Instructors train with an experienced mentor and receive paid, hands-on training; previous teaching or swim experience is helpful but not required. This is an active role that involves being on your feet and in the pool, building positive relationships with students and parents, and keeping safety a priority. Shifts are set and include evenings and weekends. The role offers opportunities to pick up additional hours and grow into mentor or leadership positions.
Requirements
- Love working with children and bring positive energy.
- Be reliable, safety-minded, and professional, with strong communication skills.
- Be able to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
- Be comfortable in the water and active on your feet.

- Previous teaching or swim experience.
Responsibilities
- Train with an experienced mentor to learn the organization's swim instruction methods.
- Teach weekly swim lessons and encourage students as they reach milestones.
