About The Position

Carolina Sweepers is hiring a full-time Sweeper Truck Operator to maintain shopping centers and commercial properties. The operator works independently on the overnight third shift, driving company vehicles and using light equipment. Routes may include longer distances between client properties. The company provides training and opportunities for advancement and internal promotion. Applicants must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

• No experience required.
• Active driver license and clean driving record.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, except Christmas.
• Availability to work from 9:00 p.m. until the route is finished, typically between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.; the end time is not guaranteed.
• Willingness to work outside in all kinds of weather and come in contact with trash.
• Ability to send emails and use technology.
• Cannot work another job alongside this one.
• Applicants must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Landscaping, sanitation, or janitorial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive a sweeper truck to clean commercial parking lots.
• Operate a backpack blower and other light tools.
• Empty and replace trash can liners.
• Hand-pick litter and debris to keep properties clean.
• Complete paperwork and use a mobile app to check in and out of job sites.
• Drive to various client sites, including longer routes throughout the region.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and in good condition.
