About The Position

Carolina Sweepers is hiring a full-time Sweeper Truck Operator to maintain commercial parking lots and properties throughout the Carolinas and Georgia. The operator works independently on an overnight route, driving a company sweeper truck between client sites and using light equipment to keep properties clean and presentable. Some routes involve longer distances between properties. The schedule begins at 9:00 p.m. and continues until the route is finished, typically between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.; the end time is not guaranteed. The company provides training and opportunities for advancement and internal promotion. Applicants must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. Requirements

• No experience is required.
• Active driver license and clean driving record.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, except Christmas.
• Availability to work from 9:00 p.m. until the route is finished; the typical end time is between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., but is not guaranteed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all kinds of weather and come in contact with trash.
• Ability to send emails and use technology.
• Cannot work another job alongside this one.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Landscaping, sanitation, or janitorial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive a sweeper truck to clean commercial parking lots.
• Operate a backpack blower and other light tools.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Hand-pick litter and debris to keep properties clean.
• Complete paperwork and use a mobile app to check in and out of job sites.
• Drive to various client sites, including longer regional routes.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and in good condition.
