Sweeper Operator
About The Position
As a Sweeper Operator employed by AlffCo, the employee completes an assigned parking lot sweeping schedule in a timely and efficient manner and performs quality work that meets customer and owner expectations. The role requires clear and effective communication with peers and upper-level management, dependability, strong time management, organization, and a high level of customer service. The position calls for extensive knowledge of landscaping and property management. The employee reports directly to the Site Supervisor. Travel is as needed and may include overnight stays. The job description notes that duties may extend beyond those listed, at the sole discretion of Alff Construction Company.
Requirements
- Background in property maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required.
- May require 0–1 year of general work experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to learn new database programs quickly; proficiency navigating communication platforms such as GPS mobile applications; and moderate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs.

- Background in property maintenance or landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Follow the designated nightly route and remove foreign material from properties, such as trash, debris, sand, and salt.
- Sweep curbs, store fronts, areas under parked cars, building fronts, cast stalls, areas behind stores, and other parking-lot areas.
- Follow supervisor instructions for sweeping assigned lots.
- Report equipment issues and unsafe conditions.
- Follow safety procedures when using equipment.
- Complete duties assigned by management in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
