About The Position

This position is for a Summer Intern Project within the Southwest Division (SWD) of Young Life. The internship is designed for individuals who have successfully completed the Southwest Division Summer Intern Experience (SIE) candidate process and have been affirmed. Young Life is a Christian organization with the primary purpose of evangelism and discipleship, aiming to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help adolescents grow in their faith. All employees and volunteers are required to sign a Statement of Faith and adhere to the organization's biblical standards and policies.

Requirements

• Must have gone through the Southwest Division Summer Intern Experience (SIE) candidate process and been affirmed.
• Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
• Must subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith.
• Must be ready, willing and able to fulfill ministry functions as may be required by the organization.
• Must refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life.
• Must abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities.

Responsibilities

• Attend all trainings
• Participate in all summer internship cohort meetings
• Meet with your mentor weekly
• Provide evaluative feedback of the program to your cohort lead
• Serve on a local volunteer leader team with students
