About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sustainment Lead to join our team! In this role you will provide support and guidance for the development of a Sustainment to Transition Plan for the operations and maintenance of a newly constructed biosafety level-2 (BSL-2) pathogen consolidation unit (PCU) and training events that are provided in association with the PCU. The PCU is being design and constructed in Rabat, Morocco under a large, complex international program. The goal is to prepare the stakeholder to be able to sustain facility operations and training at the close of the project. THIS POSITION, WHILE BASED IN THE U.S., WILL REQUIRE REGULAR TRIPS OF 1-2 WEEKS IN LENGTH TO MOROCCO

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, engineering or education and typically 10+ years of related work experience, with at least 5 experience executing international projects for US Government customers.
  • The preferred candidates shall have experience preparing for and conducting training courses.
  • Proven ability to perform in a training environment.
  • International Project delivery experience.
  • International training experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly, conduct presentations to the field team and interface effectively with a diverse group of foreign officials, US government clients, engineers, scientists, and subcontractors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with field personnel in a tactful and effective manner.
  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio.
  • Project Planning skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally to Morocco.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English-Arabic or English-French is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and conduct of a Sustainment to Transition Plan detailing how the project responsibilities will be transitioned effectively to the partner.
  • Supports the preparation of an Operation and Maintenance Manual.
  • Supports the development of training courses with respect to ensuring that train-the-trainer modules are incorporated into the curriculum.
  • Reviews Training Event Reports with respect to ensuring that lessons learned and continuous improvement aspects are included.
  • Establishes relationships with host country stakeholders and participates in meetings and training events in support of U.S. Government client.
  • Participates in a Training and Sustainment Working Group with the Stakeholder.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
