About The Position

The Technology Lead – Security Systems is responsible for the stability, optimization, and lifecycle management of security technologies across global operations. This role provides hands-on technical leadership and troubleshooting, drives standards and best practices, and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant, and highly available physical security systems. The role will also partner with Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to ensure security technologies effectively support resilience, life safety, and emergency response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Security Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, supporting, and sustaining physical security technologies (e.g., PACS, video management, visitor management) in a complex, multi-site, or global environment.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills across applications, servers, networks, and endpoints, with a track record of resolving complex system issues.
  • Hands-on experience with access control and badging systems and/or other enterprise security platforms and integrations (e.g., SSO, HRIS, directory services, APIs).
  • Experience collaborating with Business Continuity and/or EHS teams, or supporting continuity, life safety, or emergency response use cases through technology.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with global and regional stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive issues to closure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating in a regulated, audit-heavy, or compliance-driven environment (e.g., SOX, ISO, PCI, or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical ownership for core security systems (e.g., access control, badging, video, visitor management) across multiple sites and projects, from design input through implementation and ongoing support.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, performing advanced troubleshooting to restore services quickly and minimize operational impact.
  • Drive configuration standards, hardening guidelines, and lifecycle roadmaps for security platforms, ensuring consistency, reliability, and security across the environment.
  • Collaborate with Security, IT, Network, Facilities, BCP, EHS, and regional teams to design, integrate, and maintain security technologies that meet technical, safety, and business requirements.
  • Engage early in project planning and design reviews to define technical requirements, interface points, and infrastructure needs for new sites, renovations, and technology deployments.
  • Partner with vendors and integrators on solution design, implementation quality, patching, and long-term support, holding them accountable to performance and uptime expectations.
  • Support global badge/access control and related security operations, including onboarding/offboarding workflows, entitlement changes, and system configuration updates.
  • Work with BCP to ensure security systems support continuity and resilience plans (e.g., failover, redundancy, and recovery procedures for critical security platforms).
  • Partner with EHS to align security technologies with life safety requirements, emergency procedures, and incident response (e.g., muster reporting, emergency door behavior, alarm integrations).
  • Monitor system health and performance, leveraging dashboards, alerts, and logs to proactively identify issues and drive remediation before they impact end users.
  • Contribute to and help enforce technical standards, runbooks, and operating procedures for security systems, ensuring they are current, practical, and adopted by supporting teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for system architecture, integrations, configurations, and support processes to enable efficient operations and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, automate manual tasks, reduce technical debt, and enhance the overall user experience of security technologies.

Benefits

  • market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity.
