About The Position

This is a co-op or internship position for an Electrical/Civil/Geomatics Engineering student to join the ATCO Survey team. The work term is for an 8 or 12-month period starting in September 2026, with potential work locations in Grande Prairie or Lloydminster. The role involves establishing property lines, collecting topographic data, and creating drawings for distribution, transmission, and civil teams, as well as supporting land rights acquisition. The position is a mix of office and field work.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in a co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian Polytechnic Institute.
Enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Electrical/Civil/Geomatics Engineering, or similar.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Establishes property lines, collects topographic features, and establishes 3rd party crossing and construction/design layout for distribution, transmission, and civil teams.
Creates 3rd party crossing drawings and individual ownership plans to support the acquisition of land rights.
Creates designed-based drawings showing the collected topographic field data in relation to our existing and new facilities.
