About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Surveillance, the Surveillance Technician is responsible for maintaining and overseeing surveillance equipment and alarm systems. The role supports gaming protection and regulatory internal controls through equipment maintenance, inventory, installation support, surveillance-room coverage as needed, and accurate gaming logs. The position also requires compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies; professional service and workplace conduct; and safeguarding confidential information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of casino surveillance experience required.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license.
• Solid decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking, hands-on environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with all individuals.
• Proficiency in computer systems.
• Ability to work occasional overtime and irregular hours.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance and repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Illinois Gaming Board rules and regulations, federal and state laws and regulations, and company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform duties associated with the IGB Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the ICS.
• Deliver positive, courteous, and professional service to guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Repair and maintain CCTV equipment used for surveillance.
• Maintain an inventory of CCTV equipment and liaise with equipment suppliers to obtain bids and purchases.
• Participate in the installation, movement, and removal of surveillance-related equipment to support gaming protection and internal controls.
• Work in the Surveillance room as an Agent when needed.
• Maintain gaming logs in accordance with state or internal regulations.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
• Promote positive public and employee relations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
• Safeguard confidential employee, department, and company information and records.
• Support responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
• Promptly and discreetly notify senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline about observed illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
