About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the protection of casino assets and providing leadership to the Surveillance department at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to obtain gaming license
  • Three years supervisory experience in casino surveillance systems operations
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.), gaming minimum internal controls and attendant regulations as well as VHLV internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Promote teamwork with peers and among staff to help ensure the department operates as a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the scheduling, training, developing, monitoring, and managing shift personnel in such a manner as to maintain a positive culture
  • Motivate shift staff to ensure that Team Members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives
  • Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve proper supervision of department
  • Prepare, review, and oversee surveillance shift reports generated; prepare summary reports of daily activities and incidents; provide an overview of important issues, progress and status reports representing all department operations to the Surveillance Director
  • Assist in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate team member performance
  • Assist the Surveillance Director with department goals/objectives, evaluation of performance, planning of audits/close watches or special investigations
  • Maintain daily activity log and reports to ensure adequate and accurate information on surveillance activities are documented for future access
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and reports
  • Assist Surveillance Director in conducting and documenting progressive discipline when needed
  • Assist Surveillance Director with planning installations for surveillance camera coverage and surveillance equipment
  • Safeguard company assets via observation and due diligence
  • Address and resolve guest concerns or inquiries
  • Attend required training sessions offered by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
  • Perform other duties assigned
