About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the protection of casino assets and providing leadership to the Surveillance department at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Ability to obtain gaming license
Three years supervisory experience in casino surveillance systems operations
Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.), gaming minimum internal controls and attendant regulations as well as VHLV internal controls, policies and procedures
Promote teamwork with peers and among staff to help ensure the department operates as a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism

Responsibilities

Assist in the scheduling, training, developing, monitoring, and managing shift personnel in such a manner as to maintain a positive culture
Motivate shift staff to ensure that Team Members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives
Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve proper supervision of department
Prepare, review, and oversee surveillance shift reports generated; prepare summary reports of daily activities and incidents; provide an overview of important issues, progress and status reports representing all department operations to the Surveillance Director
Assist in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate team member performance
Assist the Surveillance Director with department goals/objectives, evaluation of performance, planning of audits/close watches or special investigations
Maintain daily activity log and reports to ensure adequate and accurate information on surveillance activities are documented for future access
Maintain confidentiality of information and reports
Assist Surveillance Director in conducting and documenting progressive discipline when needed
Assist Surveillance Director with planning installations for surveillance camera coverage and surveillance equipment
Safeguard company assets via observation and due diligence
Address and resolve guest concerns or inquiries
Attend required training sessions offered by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
Perform other duties assigned
