About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor security systems and identify threats before they escalate. The role involves observing screens in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses, while using strong attention to detail and concentration. The site is in Dayton, New Jersey. The set schedule is Friday and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with per diem availability for the rest of the week. The hourly wage is $20.00. A uniform is provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a valid New Jersey SORA.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.
• Have strong computer skills and proficiency with technology.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have a state license if required.

Nice To Haves

• CCURE 9000 experience (preferred but not required).
• Genetec experience (preferred but not required).
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors' identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
