About The Position

Provide a professional security presence for traffic direction and security support during clinical research studies. This per diem assignment is based primarily in the Bloomfield, New Jersey office. Work is scheduled as determined by clinical study demands and business needs. Schedules may vary Monday through Friday, with hours between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The starting pay rate is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Two years of relevant security work experience in an environment involving the public, such as a health-related environment.
• Current SORA certification under the New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act.
• Professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and procedures related to directing clinical study subjects.
• Ability to maintain subject confidentiality when provided with personal information.
• Ability to remain in close personal physical contact with clinical study participants for extended periods during the workday, generally while standing.
• Ability to convey courtesy and empathy to subjects and patients.
• Computer competency, including the MS Office suite, and ability to learn proprietary software.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule as determined by clinical study demands and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic and provide security support.
• Understand and follow instructions and procedures for directing clinical study subjects, including clinic entry and exit procedures and study schedules.
• Maintain subject confidentiality when provided with personal information.
• Work the assigned schedule based on clinical study demands and business needs.
