About The Position

Join the team as a Per Diem Security Guard at Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role monitors facility access, conducts routine security rounds, keeps accurate activity logs, assists during emergencies, and supports a secure campus. It requires strong communication and observation skills, professionalism, and a commitment to customer service in a behavioral health setting. Flexible per diem scheduling is offered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in security, corrections, or the military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct, and monitor people entering and leaving facility property.
• Maintain accurate log books as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and manage traffic flow during emergencies, including fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits, and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking and lobby areas for loitering or misconduct and conduct frequent sweeps of the facility.
• Interact professionally with staff and patients.
• Report suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor, or a member of leadership.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
