About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a part-time Surveillance Security Officer in Orangeburg, New York, in Rockland County. The role involves monitoring security systems and multiple screens to detect threats and suspicious activity, responding to incidents, documenting events, and helping protect people and property. The position requires commuting daily to the Orangeburg site. The set schedule is Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the pay is $23 per hour. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Hold a New York security license.
• Have strong computer skills and proficiency with technology.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, as well as the post-offer background check and drug screening.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Be able to commute daily to the Orangeburg, New York location.

Nice To Haves

• CCURE 9000 experience is preferred but not required.
• Genetec experience is preferred but not required.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
