About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The officer monitors security systems and screens for suspicious activity, identifies potential threats before they escalate, and helps protect people and property in settings such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses. The position includes documenting incidents, responding to potential threats, conducting patrols, controlling access, reviewing systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions, and coordinating with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.

The role is full-time and follows a set schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The hourly wage is $18.39. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have good eyesight and the ability to maintain focus.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa state private security license; GardaWorld will help obtain it.

Responsibilities
