About The Position

Calder Casino is hiring a Surveillance Operator to observe and report suspicious activity, policy deviations, incidents, and other safety and compliance matters. The role requires computer proficiency, adaptability, attention to detail, initiative, and a professional, objective approach. The operator monitors gaming areas, cash-handling zones, employees, company assets, and public spaces using CCTV and related equipment, while maintaining detailed records and following gaming regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
Oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships among personnel.
Willingness to assume overall responsibility for job performance.
Proficiency with the surveillance software and monitoring platforms used by the department.
Adherence to applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and Title 31 requirements.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding surveillance activities, investigations, and findings.
Ability to cooperate with gaming control board audits and law enforcement requests.
Effective communication with surveillance supervisors, security, and gaming floor management.
Professional, unbiased, and objective approach to surveillance activities.
Ability to pursue ongoing training and development in gaming protection and surveillance techniques.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment.
Perform close watch duties as assigned.
Maintain familiarity with gaming laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Receive periodic on-the-job training.
Monitor company assets and employees for procedural violations.
Maintain current working knowledge of procedures and policies across departments.
Observe and report failures to comply with company policies or gaming regulations.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date logs.
Identify and document suspicious behavior, cheating attempts, theft, and policy violations in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor gaming tables, slot machines, and cage operations for irregularities or procedural deviations.
Report equipment malfunctions or blind spots promptly to supervisors and follow up to ensure resolution.
Respond to requests from other departments without compromising surveillance integrity.
Participate in shift briefings and stay current on updated procedures and watch lists.
Continuously observe assigned gaming areas, cash-handling zones, and public spaces through CCTV systems.
Operate and maintain surveillance cameras, recording systems, and related equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
