About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Surveillance Officer to join the team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. The role conducts facility-wide surveillance camera operations to help protect the property and ensure the safety of guests and team members. Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination with electronic gaming machines, table games, live greyhound racing, simulcast wagering, a hotel, dining options, and a showroom.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a state gaming license.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage crowds effectively.
Computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, routine database activity, and record keeping.
Basic knowledge of or training in investigations.
No high school diploma or GED is required.
Ability to hear and speak to communicate on a two-way radio.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Monitor all areas of the property, including gaming and cage activity, food and beverage activity, and facility and property security.
Produce timely written reports and logs about observed violations and illegal activity.
Ensure that all cameras and computer systems remain operational.
Ensure state racing and gaming regulations and policies are followed.
Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding surveillance information, including camera coverage, investigations, and proprietary material.
