About The Position

DigiStream Investigations, a national private investigations firm, is seeking entry-level Surveillance Investigators for its Buffalo team. Specialized training, credentials, and prior experience are not required; paid training and the equipment needed for field work are provided. Investigators conduct surveillance on fraud cases, adapt to unpredictable situations, think on their feet, and blend in while working undercover. The role offers a career advancement track in Surveillance. A private investigator license is not required. A vehicle, gas card, and maintenance card are provided on the first day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Currently live in the Buffalo, NY area.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays; the average workweek is 50 hours.
• Ability to start work as early as 5 a.m. daily, with occasional work into the evenings.
• Ability to pass a DMV check and background check.
• Confident driving skills.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight on remote assignments as needed.
• Accountability while working under minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to blend in undercover in any location and during any activity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance on fraud cases.
• Adapt to changing and unpredictable field situations.
• Blend in while conducting undercover surveillance in different locations and activities.
• Drive confidently and maintain surveillance positions, including on remote assignments.
• Travel and stay overnight for remote assignments as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Use video cameras and a laptop during surveillance work.
