About The Position
Saint Peter's is among the few hospitals in the world to have earned its seventh consecutive Magnet designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation, recognizing exceptional nursing practices and patient outcomes. The organization is expanding its award-winning nursing team and seeks talented, compassionate registered nurses for Surgical Unit 3G. The Surgical Unit RN contributes to a collaborative nursing team, assesses assigned patients' health status in accordance with Nursing Standards, performs procedures according to established Standards of Care, administers medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy, and meticulously documents patient care.
Requirements
- Be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Hold BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
- Complete an ECG course during clinical orientation.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred; alternatively, a BSN must be obtained within three years of the hire date.
Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the collaborative nursing team.
- Use assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
- Perform procedures based on established Standards of Care.
- Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy.
- Document all aspects of patient care.
