About The Position

This role involves the assembly and reconciliation of surgical trays and sets. The specialist will maintain accurate records of all transactions, including incoming and outgoing shipments, using both manual logs and the Sage system. Key responsibilities include communicating with customers regarding implant/instrument needs, providing technical information to the sales force, and ensuring tray/set availability. The position also requires monitoring and storing inventory accurately, reporting defective materials, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This includes proper packaging methods and ensuring adequate supplies of shipping materials. Collaboration with purchasing, receiving, and operations departments is essential for managing back orders and ensuring sufficient stock for set building and inventory requests. Miscellaneous tasks to meet business needs will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects unassisted.
  • Required to lift more than 60 pounds rarely and/or 25 to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Required to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less.
  • Must be able to judge distance and spatial relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Tray/set assembly and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions involving trays and sets, both incoming and outgoing, in shipping and receiving logs.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of all transactions involving sets using Sage.
  • Contact customers regarding missing or extra implants/instruments.
  • Contact customers regarding specific needs to ensure their requests are processed properly.
  • Accurate monitoring and storage of inventory.
  • Support the sales force by providing technical information.
  • Provide tray/set availability to customers.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed regulations.
  • Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies.
  • Perform shipping duties, including proper packaging methods and interpreting visual aids for specific packaging requirements.
  • Work with purchasing, receiving, and operations departments to monitor the status of back-ordered products.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of shipping materials is on hand at all times.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure the stock required to build sets and fill inventory requests.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to help meet the needs of the business.
