About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our fast-paced surgical team. The position involves working in a multi-specialty surgical environment with a strong emphasis on orthopedic procedures. The roles include assisting in surgical operations, preparing surgical instruments, and participating in various specialties throughout the day.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
- Orthopedic experience is mandatory, specifically with Zimmer and Arthrex instrumentation.
- Experience with heavy total joint replacements and sports medicine surgeries.
- Must be flexible with the ability to work in various specialties as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred certifications: NBSTSA or NCCT.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, cataracts, and General Surgery.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Load and organize instruments and supplies while assisting with the setup and breakdown of the operating room.
- Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room post-surgery.
- Help in the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) as needed.
