About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the OR Unit Coordinator and the Director of Perioperative Services, this position maintains the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection and assists the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Must have a high energy level with ability to work under stress of the operating room atmosphere and exhibit emotional maturity, stability, and flexibility.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited CFA program.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
