About The Position
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing a range of services in the operating room, particularly within the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR). This role includes the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR
- BLS certification required
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is required
- Associate Degree in a Healthcare-related field or CST certification is required.
- Experience in Level I or II trauma settings is preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted, provided they live more than 100 miles from the facility
- Experience with CABG
- Experience with TAVR
- Experience with Valve replacements
- Experience with Robotic thoracic cases (lobectomy, hernia repair)
- Experience with Cardiac organ procurement/harvesting
- Experience with Fem-pop bypass and other open vascular cases
Nice To Haves
- CST certification is preferred
